So...we finally have a new computer, internet, and a place (which we may be losing soon unfortunately).

I, no longer, have to sing to the beat of the owners of my previous location, because I can now do what I need to do, when I need to do it. Feels great.

So we, recently, attended MangaNext with some friends of ours. We were there at the artists alley and we had 3 panels to do, Sin Comix, American Doujin Circles, and Women Doing Erotic Art. We didn't setup Friday since it was pretty slow and I wasn't feeling well, at all. I took a nap before we had to pick up one of our roommates. I sold Friday, but Ivory M. did most of the selling while I was running around like a headless chicken xeroxing and trying to find computer discs in that dead space of land out there. Sunday we spent all day at panels, so nothing there.

So upon coming back I made a list of all things that have to get done witin the next 2-4 months and the list is huge. Commissions and portfolios have to be completed. I even started doing schedules to get some kind of order of where to start first. *sigh*

Well here's to hoping that we can finally get an entry to the RSOM this year.

Otakon 2006 was ok this year.

A lot of familiar faces and new. We were slaves to the Artist Alley yet again. Though I did spend most of my time running out to do some errands and getting food. We were, unfortunately, stuck at the Wyndham, but never again. The a/c was old skoool so it was hella hot during the heat wave. The manager told me to open up the door to get some air from the hallway. Stuff in the room broke or was already broken.

I lost my bank card and even after I called my bank to block the card I saw over 5 new transactions authorized on it totaling to well over $50 on it, not leaving me with much money. I had my printer with me so I had to haul 4 huge things of luggage around. The Otabus never came until about 4 hours later, meaning I didn't get home until after 1 am. We got no commissions this year so I got to hang around Baltimore and take in the restaurants and this place that served alcohol and you could walk around the streets with it. Only thing is that you have to be carded before entering and police guard the exit/entrance. We went in for about a while until we tried getting back into Hooters on Saturday where we sat next to MUCC.

So I hope MangaNext will not be as tragic and I will book my hotel about year earlier this year instead to avoid the Wyndham this year.

Managed to finish the 1st draft of that story I had told you guys I had trouble writing last week, a complete one so all we have to do now is just to edit the hell out of it and then write the script and edit the hell out of that as well.

I, finally, realized what was making it so hard was that I needed to do more research. I was lacking a lot of information and I knew less than I thought. So I had begun to watch this show that my dad had tuned to one day. It's called 'The First 48.' It's a documentary that follows homocide teams in various states as they try to get a suspect in the first 48 hours from the time that they find the victim. So I had watched the marathon and became hooked. It's a really GREAT show. I'm not a big fan of tv trying to glamourize or gloss anything over so it's nice seeing REAL people do this. (No I don't watch CSI and never will.)

So I've been watching A&E and got to see the first part of this new miniseries called, "Most Evil." Basically this professor from either Columbia or Cornell, created this system to rank the most evil criminals known, or caught. So I knew Susan Smith, but I learned about 3-4 new serial killers/psychopaths. One of them was B.T.K. His name was an acronym for Bind. Torture. Kill. What he would do, would be to bind his victims and then torture them to death. He would leave the police all sorts of notes many giving hints about his identity, but he had them totally stumped. That was until they caught him one day thanks to his daughter who, ironically, thought she was helping to clear his name.

He would stalk his victims, break into their homes, bind them telling them that he had a sexual problem that he needed help with. Then after tying them up, he would proceed to choke them to death where they would pass out. So when they came back to, he would do it all over again. This would get him off, in which he would leave semen all over the place, and then he would kill them when he was finished with them and then go home. I thought that was pretty interesting so I looked him up online and then found a site that had records on a lot of them. I read up on Ted Bundy, the Zodiac Killer, Son of Sam, who is elligible for parole this year, The Moors Murderers, The Lonely Hearts Killers, and the Hillside Stranglers. Actually the more I read, the more I saw how well Ohba did her research for Death Note.

After reading all that I could, I just finished typing everything. We're pretty happy with it , but we're hoping to keep it, somewhat, for general audiences and still compromise who we are.

If that's at all possible.

Since I don't rant on my site anymore, I'm just going to do it here.

Well I don't want to rant, I'll just post something completely random...

Currently, I'm trying to write a story for the next Tokyopop Rising Stars of Manga. It seems I'm always doing that, but this time we're trying to get it done MUCH earlier so that we can have SOMETHING done this time even if we don't win, but at least I'll feel better about myself and life if we can get it done.

I've gone with the approach of writing something so I can trim it done to 20 pages of a complete story. I was on a roll on the bus coming home tonight after going a couple of days w/o doing anything. Like in me, while I'm writing it I WANT to make a thriller, but it's still a romance. Maybe I'll just write and write until something comes out and then rewrite some more.

I hate writing.

I had to harrass Ivory M. to read this book called STORY. It's taken about a year for me to get her to read it, but she finally is. Well she's still on Chapter 2 and she's been complaing all through it. She claims that it's too complicated and long. Well some parts were long and only like ONE part was hella' complicated, but being able to discuss the book with someone helps me to understand it more. Yet, since it's been so long, I'm going to have to read it again, but I can't because everytime I read it I feel as if I read it already. So it's like we'll never meet up.

Though her reading some of it has helped us to channel some of the story into a better direction. Or into an actual directon.

I'm still itching to do some more xxx comics, but I want a writer for them. I guess I'll have to search for a writer for it one day soon, because right now I'm in the process of drawing a RikkuxYunaxTidus doujin and then I have the one about that boys' boarding school to finish. When I get to finish a page I'll post them here.
